
June 25, 2026 - Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and members of the community gathered at Jamie’s Freedom Semi-Truck & Trailer Parts for their new chamber members ribbon cutting celebration held Thursday, June 25, 2026, in Center.
Andi Foster, Ambassador President, welcomed James Killen who spoke about their business and introduced his family including, his wife, Layla; daughter, Josalynn Black; and son, Dakota.
Killen said he has been in the parts business for a little over 20 years and the six years previous to the ribbon cutting they have been primarily focused on parts for large trucks.
“We actually have a full-blown parts store in this little bitty looking building from outside, but we’ve got rooms that are slap full of parts,” said Killen. “Anytime, if we don’t have it that morning we can have it that evening a lot of times.”
Killen said they support all makes and models from Peterbilt, Freightliner, Western Star to Kenworth they can get it in stock on the same day the majority of the time.
“We do deliveries anywhere local, and I will deliver slap to the other side of Carthage if it’s worthwhile to drive that far,” said Killen.
A family owned and operated business, Killen said to give them a call for all of your big truck or semi trailer part needs.
“We’re so thankful for all the customers that we already have and the people that have really supported us, my dad, a lot of people have really really been there for us,” said Layla Killen. “I’m thankful that Josalynn has stepped up and done a lot for us.”
“The day she graduated, she went to work we didn’t even give her a summer vacation,” said Jamie Killen.
