DeMarcus "Boss" McDaniel departed this life on Monday, June 30, 2026, at 7:47pm in Mesquite, TX.
He was born in Nacogdoches, TX to Jessie McDaniel and to Christine McDaniel on July 15, 1987.
Funeral service is at 11am on Friday, July 10, 2026 at First Assembly of God, 652 Houston Street, Timpson, Texas 75975 with Pastor Bryan Gates officiating. Visitation is from 1pm to 6pm on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Community Funeral Home Chapel.
He attended High School in Garrison, TX, where he graduated from. He held down many various jobs from working at Mikes Lumber Yard to being a home health aide for many loved ones in the community. In 2006, he met his now wife, Dana. They spent what would have been 20 years this year together. Marcus was raised in Garrison, TX, and that's where he spent most of his life.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His greatest passion was working on cars, installing music, and rebuilding them. He loved a good card game and taking everyone money, he was really good at that. He enjoyed fishing and always loved a good casino. Marcus is remembered for his compassion for his family and friends and would give his last to help anyone who needed it. He was and remains a one-of-a-king husband, brother, uncle and friend.
DeMarcus was preceded in death by his mother, Christine McDaniel, and his father, Jessie McDaniel.
