July 31, 2026 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 5th day of August, 2026 at 9:30am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve weekly expenses.
2. Public comments on agenda item.
3. Discuss and take action to retain, revise, or remove local optional fees from DMV Chapter 502 of the transportation code for calendar year 2027.
4. Tax Assessor- Collector, Debora Riley to submit 2026 calculated rates.
5. Tax Assessor-Collector, Debora Riley to present Transcript of Continuing Education Hours.

6. Discuss and possibly approve the Order of Election for the November 2026 Election.
7. Discuss and possibly approve the appointment of Election Judges as presented.
8. Discuss and possibly approve the re-appointment of Mr. John Howard for a two-year term to the Burke Board of Trustees.
9. Discuss and take action to move forward with JRJ Construction for the Historic Jail Window Restoration Project.
