Thomas, and actress Charlize Theron. Oh, I almost forgot one birthday girl - Faye Estelle Mathis - my mother.
We lost her in 2010, but since she was born in 1926, she would have turned 100 years old today. Her name doesn’t show up on Wikipedia like those other famous people I mentioned, but for the many who knew her she made a memorable and lasting impression. A dedicated pastor’s wife, a gifted organist, a mentor to women, an inspirational Bible teacher - Faye Mathis made a difference and touched many lives in her church and in her community for over seven decades.
Happy Birthday Mom! And thank you to all the Christian mothers out there who faithfully, day after day, are a blessing to God and a blessing to others.
