Funeral services for Ken Ramsey, 81, of Timpson, will be held at 4:00 PM, on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Taylor Funeral Home with Reverend Steven Smith officiating. Interment will follow the service at Corinth cemetery. Visitation will be held immediately prior to the service beginning at 3:00 PM.

Ken was born the son of Roy and Juliea Ann Moore Ramsey. Along with his siblings, his values were instilled in him from a very early age. He grew up in Garrison and graduated from Garrison High School where he was active in football. He then attended Stephen F. Austin State University. Shortly after, he honorably served with the Air National Guard. He was hard-working and loved his family. Ken, or “Ram”, as he was known, spent numerous years working for Southwestern Bell where he earned his first retirement. Ken then transitioned to a second career in the oil and gas industry where his work ethic and tenacity had him maintaining an average of fifteen wells and sometimes as many as thirty. This may have been his calling as he truly loved working in the oil fields. However, his favorite memories were made with his children, grandchildren and others in his family or playing dominoes and fishing with his friends. He also enjoyed having a garden each year. Ken was a paramedic and took great pride in helping others. He was a member of the Timpson Fire Department, Timpson volunteer ambulance service and a dedicated Master Mason of the Garrison Masonic Lodge #670 AF & AM and a member of Timpson First Methodist Church.
