September 8, 2026 - Americans across the Nation are called to fly the flag of the United States at half-staff on Patriot Day, Friday, September 11, 2026, from sunrise until sunset, in solemn honor of the nearly 3,000 innocent men, women, and children who perished in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
All flags flying with the United States Flag should also be lowered. Flags that cannot be lowered can still show respect for the day by tying a black ribbon or cord to the top of the mast.
