Celebrating hometown pride, tradition, and community
October 8, 2026 - The Tenaha ISD is proud to honor Delores Thompson as Grand Marshal of the 2026 Tenaha Homecoming Parade. The parade is at 1pm on Saturday, October 10 on the Tenaha square.
This special recognition celebrates a valued member of our community and the hometown spirit that makes Tenaha a wonderful place to call home. Her love for children led her to serve Tenaha ISD for 19 years, and she enjoyed every minute of her time there. She is the proud mother of three children: LaTasha, Kenneth, and Damian.
As Grand Marshal, Mrs. Thompson will lead the parade and represent the pride, fellowship, and traditions shared by generations of Tenaha families, students, alumni, and friends. Her place at the front of this year’s procession is a fitting tribute to her during a celebration that brings the entire community together.
Homecoming is a time to remember our roots, reconnect with friends and neighbors, and cheer on the Tenaha Tigers. We invite everyone to line the parade route, welcome home former students, and join us in congratulating Delores Thompson on being selected as the 2026 Grand Marshal.
Congratulations, Mrs. Deedee — and welcome home, Tenaha!
