October 19, 2026 - Let’s turn a good lunch into a great cause! Local community banks are teaming up for the Texas Bankers Association's Community Day of Service hamburger fundraiser on Thursday, October 22nd, with all proceeds benefiting the Shelby County Rainbow Room and helping provide essential items for local children served by CPS.
The Rainbow Room, located in the Health and Human Services Office at 912 Nacogdoches Street, Center, Texas, is a 24/7 emergency resource room that provides basic needs to children and families during times of crisis and is supported by donations and local volunteers. CPS caseworkers and investigators can get supplies in time of need for children who are victims of abuse or neglect.
The pre-order deadline has passed, however, you can still support the case by buying your plate on Thursday, October 22, 2026 starting at 10am on the downtown Center Square until sold out. Plates are $10 and includes Hamburger, Chips, Water, and Dessert.
