November 5, 2026 - Emergency crews responded to State Highway 7 West on November 4, 2026, for a two-vehicle crash at just before 5pm in a construction zone.
Center Fire Department personnel and Texas Department of Public Safety State Troopers responded to the location where the roadway was under repair near CR 1145.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety State Trooper Colten Bearden, at around 4:45pm a brown 2025 Ford Bronco driven by Jennifer Duvon, 47, of Center was exiting from a private driveway when her visibility was impaired. At that time a silver 2006 Lexus driven by a 15-year-old minor driver was westbound on State Highway 7 West when the Bronco exited from the driveway and the Lexus struck the Bronco.
No injuries were reported as a result of the crash to either of the drivers or the minor passenger in the Lexus.
A citation was issued to the driver of the Lexus for no driver’s license.
Once the scene was clear, the Center Fire Department and TxDOT personnel that had arrived at the location following the crash left.
