David Junior Boyd, 81, of Center, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026, in Nacogdoches.
Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm, Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2pm, Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Jeff Story and Bro. Gordon Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery in Joaquin.
Born July 24, 1944, in Timpson, David is the son of D. B. Boyd and Maurine Farmer Boyd. He served in the United States Marine Corps, where he received two purple hearts. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, raising cattle, and spoiling his grandchildren. David was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Center. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents, D. B. Boyd and Maurine Farmer Boyd; brother, Steve Boyd; and sister, Bobbie Jean Boyd.
