Edward H. Lowe

12/3/2025

Edward H. Lowe went home to be with the Lord on November 29, 2025. He was greatly loved and respected by his family and friends.

He grew up in Joaquin, Texas and moved to Dallas when he graduated. There, he met the first love of his life. They were married and he joined the Army and was sent to Germany. Upon returning to the States, he went to the police academy. His time as a police officer included working for the Dallas Police Department, Vice and eventually the Sheriff’s Department. He left the police department and went into business for himself doing appliance repair for 15 years. But his love was police work, so he went back to work for the state jail in Fannin County and retired from there. He eventually moved back to Joaquin, Texas and that is where he lived his final days.

Ed was fortunate to have 2 great loves in his life. He married Glenda Faye Smith August 21, 1963 and they were married 58 years until her death in 2021. Upon returning to Joaquin, he was fortunate to meet his fiancé, Linda Beecher. They had 3 wonderful years together.

He is survived by:

Daughter, Mylissa Messer and son-in-law, Rick Messer

8 Grandchildren: Holly, Jordan, Cody, Kelsey, Aaron, Tommy, Kristin, Alyssa

7 Great-Grandchildren: Jeannie, Lane, Lexi, Judah, Skylar, Levy and Silas
