Hattie V. Scourton was born on August 19, 1944, in Timpson, Texas. She was born to the late Lawrence and Leola Wilson. On March 8, 2026, God reached down and called His faithful servant home. A woman of deep kindness and unwavering grace, she lived her life as a testament to God's love.
Visitation is from 10am until 6pm Friday, March 13, 2026 at Community Funeral Home in Timpson. Funeral service is at 11am on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, BoBo, Texas. Lie in state from 10am to 11am on Saturday prior to service. Pastor Jeremy Moore and Pastor Derrick Rhodes, Eulogist. Interment is at Timpson Cemetery.
She was a woman who truly never met a stranger, greeting every new face with a genuine smile and a kind word. Her caring nature led her to a fulfilling career at Community Funeral Home, where she served her neighbors with grace and compassion. When she wasn't working, her favorite place to be was on her porch, music playing loudly in the background, surrounded by the laughter of her grandkids and dear friends.
She was peacefully reunited in Heaven with her parents, Lawrence and Leola Wilson; her beloved daughter, Ethel Marie Tipps; her brothers, Roy, Lawrence, James, and Billy Wilson; and her sisters, Lula, Lucy Mae, Bernice, Ethel Lee, and Helen Wilson.

They were the light of her life and her greatest blessing.
She also leaves behind a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, along with cousins and a lifetime of friends she always considered family.
While we mourn her absence, we find peace knowing she is now resting in the arms of her Savior watching over us until we meet again.
