Rickie Allen Lindsey, 64, of Longview, Texas passed away on February 17, 2026 in his home.
Rick was born on April 20th, 1961 to John “Tommy” Lindsey and Gladys Woods Lindsey. He graduated from Hallsville High School in 1979 and spent some time living in Dallas before he settled down in Tyler, Texas. He attended Texas Baptist Institute & Seminary where he studied Bible Theology and Music Ministry. He moved with his family to Center, Texas where he worked in the ministry as a member of Heritage Baptist Church.
Rick dedicated his life to Christ and spent much of his time studying the Word of God. He enjoyed sharing his passion for music, whether it be through playing bass guitar, drums, and singing. He loved researching the weather, playing basketball with his brother, son and nephews, and making his family and friends laugh.

Kevin Lindsey and wife Shannon
Laura Lindsey Ryan and husband Tyler
Sara Lindsey and fiancé Mason
Kolten Lindsey
The mother of his children, Cindy Peters
Sister-in-law Micki Lindsey Fischer
A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Gladys Woods Lindsey, and his brother Mark “Randy” Lindsey.
Rick will be laid to rest in Hancock Cemetery in Jasper, Texas next to his mother and father.
