Steven John Moore

10/03/2026

Steven John Moore, 38, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away on September 30, 2026, in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was born on February 22, 1988, in Arlington, Texas, to John Moore and Ronda (Risinger) Moore.

Steven graduated from Shelbyville High School with the Class of 2006. He was an exceptionally intelligent person with a natural curiosity and a genuine love of learning. He could affectionately be described as a “professional student,” as he truly enjoyed his time in college and never seemed to tire of learning something new.

Gaming was a very special part of Steven’s life. For him, gaming was about much more than sitting behind a computer—it was a world where his personality truly shined. He loved spending time online, connecting with people from all over the world and forming genuine friendships and lasting relationships with those he met along the way. Steven had a remarkable ability to bring his humor, intelligence, and unique personality into that world, and the people he met there became an important part of his life. His love of computers and gaming also extended to the technical side, and he took great pride in his ability to build a gaming computer from scratch. Whether he was playing, talking with friends, solving a technical problem, or simply enjoying time with his online community, Steven found a place where he could be completely himself.

Steven was a free spirit who marched to the beat of his own drum. He was funny, kind, accepting, and never one to judge others. He loved children and had a special place in his heart for animals of all kinds. He was simply fun to be around, and those who knew him will remember the laughter, individuality, and genuine kindness he brought into their lives.

Steven was a loving uncle, affectionately known as “Uncle Stevie” to his nieces, Blaire and Molly. He cherished the time he spent with them and brought his own playful spirit and sense of humor to their lives.

For more than 14 years, Steven was a loyal employee of Lowe’s in Nacogdoches. His long-standing commitment to his work reflected the loyalty and dependability he showed to the people in his life.

Steven will be remembered for his incredible intelligence, quick wit, kind heart, free spirit, and his ability to make people feel accepted for exactly who they were. While his family was always at the center of his world, his online gaming community was another place where Steven’s personality truly came alive. He formed connections with people across the world and left an impression on many who may have never had the opportunity to meet him in person. His life was uniquely his own, and he lived it with authenticity, humor, curiosity, and a willingness to embrace the things that brought him joy.

Steven will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
