Willie Mae (Sally/Granny) Cockrell Furlow, 91, of Huxley, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
Graveside service will be held at 11:30am, Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Sholar Cemetery in Joaquin with visitation at Watson & Sons Funeral Home beginning at 10am. Bro. Gordon Vaughn will officiate.
Born February 8, 1935, Willie Mae (Sally) Furlow is the daughter of William Cockrell and Rosa D. Hooper Cockrell. She was a member of Lydia Missionary Baptist Church in Huxley.
Willie Mae (Sally/Granny) Furlow married “her little man” and the love of her life, J.T. (Shorty/Jake) Furlow, on March 8, 1977. Together they created a beautiful love story.
Willie Mae (Sally/Granny) Furlow was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and precious memories that will forever live in her family’s hearts. Family was the center of her world. She loved her children, but her grandchildren and great grands held a big piece of her heart. The holidays were special to her. She loved to cook for the family and have everyone gather. Above all, she loved the Lord.
She leaves us with a beautiful example of love, devotion, and the importance of family. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
