August 23, 2022 - Varsity tennis hosted a district match up with Rusk on Tuesday, August 23rd and came out of doubles with a commanding 7-0 match lead. The momentum would stay on our side with the Lady Riders sweeping their singles 6-0, and the Roughrider boys going 4-2. Official match score 17-2, and overall 24-3 with extra matches played.

The junior varsity tennis team will compete against Jacksonville in an away tournament on Thursday, August 25 at 4pm. The varsity tennis team will host Lufkin on Tuesday, August 30 at 4pm.
August 22, 2022 - Meet the Dragons will be Monday, August 22nd at 6pm in the Gym. Also, the Elysian Fields game on September 9th is now scheduled to be a 7:30 kickoff.
Shelbyville Dragons Stadium on Thursday, August 18, 2022 –
The Shelbyville Dragons concluded their preseason scrimmages with visiting Beckville High School on Thursday.
Both teams prepared with equal line of scrimmage plays for both varsity and junior varsity running scripted play drills.
The scrimmages finished with the two varsities playing two quarters with Shelbyville holding a 12-3 lead over the Bearcats after one quarter. And they outpaced Beckville once again in the second quarter by a 14-0 margin.
The Dragons will travel to Alto next Friday, August 26, 2022 for their first regular season game. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at Alto’s Yellowjackets Stadium.
August 17, 2022 - The Center Recreation Department announces next date for the 2022 Football and Fall Soccer signups.
Where? The Community House (425 San Augustine Street)
When? Thursday August 18th from 5:00 to 7:00pm
Parents are encouraged to come by City Hall at 617 Tenaha Street to sign up also. Office hours are Monday – Friday 8-4:30pm. If one of the signup dates doesn’t work for you, please come by City Hall before August 27th to sign up. After August 26th, there will be a $15 late fee added to the registration. August 16, 2022 - Tenaha plays West Sabine at home in the beginning week of the 2022 Football season on August 26 at 7pm.
The varsity team will travel to Winona on Thursday, August 18 for a 6pm 3-team scrimmage - Tenaha, Winona, and Emory Rains.

August 15, 2022 - It’s time to reserve your football seating for the 2022 Football season.
Reserved Football Seating – Timpson ISD will begin selling reserved football seating on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. If you wish to keep your reserved seats you had for the 2021-2022 football season, be sure and go to the Central Office and see Sherri to secure your seats for the upcoming 2022-2023 football season. Please do this BEFORE Wednesday, August 31 so your seats will not possibly be purchased by another person. And remember, Event Center parking will be available for reserved ticket holders, senior citizen pass holders and Timpson ISD staff. It’s on a first come first served basis.
Senior Citizen Passes – Senior citizen passes for citizens 63 years young (and older) are available at the Timpson ISD Central office. See Sherri for your pass.
August 5, 2022 - The Tenaha Tiger Football season begins with a scrimmages against Hemphill on August 12, 2022 at 5pm JV and 6:30pm V in Hemphill. Homecoming is schedule is at 7pm Saturday, October 15th against Alto and district games begin October 7th with Price Carlisle at home.
