Joaquin Rams Ballpark on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 –

Joaquin's Chloee Mason struck out the only nine batters who came to the plate for the Mount Enterprise Lady Wildcats on Tuesday. The game was called in the bottom of the third inning when Joaquin gained their 15th run and took a 15-0 win after the UIL mercy rule came into effect.

Joaquin scored nine runs during the bottom of the first inning during a rally in which they had 13 batters come to the plate and they led 9-0 at the end of one inning.

The Lady Rams scored three more runs in the second inning to take a 12-0 lead into the third where they added the final three runs of the contest. The Lady Rams totaled 9 hits and 10 walks during the win. Joaquin is now 19-1 for the season with a 11-0 District 23 2A mark.

They will next host the Gary Lady Bobcats on Friday, April 16 at 5:30 p.m.

Rams Ballpark on Friday, April 9, 2021 –

The Joaquin Rams varsity district baseball game with visiting Gary High School was suspended during the third inning due to frequent lightning strikes. The Bobcats jumped out to an early 2-0 lead when Dakota Beckham, Payton Chamness and Darin Livingston all reached with base hits in the first inning. Gary added their third run of the game when Mason Smith scored on a Landon Woodfin RBI single to left field.The Rams still trailed the Bobcats 3-0 as the game had moved into the bottom half of the third inning.

Officials called things when a lightning delay only got worse due to safety. Play then moved to Gary High School on Saturday, April 10 and the Bobcats were able to extend their lead and take the win with a 5-1 final score.

April 9, 2021 - Lady Dragon Softball game for today, April 9, has been cancelled.

April 9, 2021 - Center ISD Varsity Softball will start at 4:30pm April 9th due to weather conditions. No JV softball game.

April 9, 2021 - The Center Senior League Boys Basketball Fundraiser is Friday, April 9 from 4pm to 10pm and Saturday, April 10 from 10am until 8pm at Portacool Park. There will be food, music, and fun!

April 8, 2021 - The Center Lady Riders competed March 31st at the Region III, 17AAAA District meet in Jasper and advanced 10 athletes in 13 different events.

All 1st through 4th place winners will move on to the Area meet on Wednesday, April 14 at Madisonville High School.

Joaquin Rams Ballpark on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 –

The Joaquin Lady Rams varsity softball team won their ninth consecutive game with a 6-2 win over the visiting Timpson Lady Bears. Joaquin now stands at 16-1 overall. Their District 23 2A mark is 9-0.

Joaquin took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning when Ebbie McCann drew a walk and was driven in by JJ Bass who singled. Joaquin loaded the bases in the inning but sound Timpson defense ended the inning with the bases loaded.

The Lady Rams rallied in the bottom of the second inning and scored three more runs to extend their lead to 4-0.

The top of the fourth inning saw Timpson rally for two runs when Erica Renick and Hannah Jones singled to the outfield. They were driven in when Harlie Ware ground-rule-doubled over the centerfield fence. This cut the JHS lead to 4-2.

Joaquin was able to add on two more scores during the remainder of the game but held on defensively with help from pitcher Chloe Mason. Mason struck out 8 batters, allowed six hits and walked one batter.

Erica Renick struck out 5 batters, walked five and allowed nine hits in seven innings.

The Lady Rams will travel to Garrison for another district game with the Lady Bulldogs on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 5:30 p.m.

The Lady Bears will travel to Mount Enterprise for conference action with the Lady Wildcats on Friday, April 9 at 5:30 p.m.

Tenaha Cole DePriest Field on Thursday, April 1, 2021 –

The visiting Joaquin Rams defeated the Tenaha Tigers by a 18-2 score during a District 23 2A Varsity Baseball game on Thursday. Joaquin exploded in the top of the fourth inning to stretch a then 6-2 lead into a lopsided 18-2 score. The inning saw JHS take advantage of six hits, an THS error, and six walks to score 12 runs. Ram pitcher Bennett Anglin did the rest as he struck out the Tigers 1-2-3 in the bottom of the fourth frame to help enforce the Texas UIL Mercy Rule and end the contest.

Joaquin is now 11-6 overall and stand at 4-4 in conference action. They will travel to Gary High on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 for a 6:30 p.m. district game with the Bobcats.

The Tigers are 2-8 and will host Garrison on Tuesday, April 6 at 4 p.m. Garrison is currently the only undefeated team in conference action (8-0). They are 11-4 overall.
