Portion of Timpson St. in Center to Remain Closed for Repairs Wednesday

March 17, 2026 - Timpson St. will be closed between Margo St. and Focused Care on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 to finish road repairs from a water leak, Focused care will have access from the Hurst street side.

March 17, 2026 - On March 17, 2026 at 6am, Timpson St, will be closed to thru traffic between Margo St. and Focused Care.

Due to a water line break, there will be access to Focus Care from Hurst St, traffic coming from Tenaha St. will have to detour down Margo St. Please use caution in this area.

City of Center Rescinds Boil Water Notice

February 28, 2026 - The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Center public water system, Tx2100001, to issue a Boil Water Notice on February 26, 2026, to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

City of Center Announces Wheeler Street Closure Today Thru Tuesday

February 20, 2026 - City of Center announces a road closure this week for sewer repairs.

On February 20, 2026 (Friday) Wheeler Street will be closed at Sanders Street intersection starting at 5:30pm until February 24, 2026 – Tuesday. Due to repairs on a sewer main. Traffic will need to find alternate route.

City of Center Announces Two Street Closures for Utility Service Repairs

February 17, 2026 - City of Center announces two upcoming road closures this week for water and sewer repairs.

On February 18, 2026 – (Wednesday) – Shelbyville St. will be closed between McKee St. and Collier St. for repair of water line. Local traffic will be detoured down McKee St. and Collier St. Truck traffic will be let thru the area.

Henrietta, Tenaha Street Intersection to Close for Manhole Replacement

January 12, 2026 - January City of Center will have a contractor replace a manhole on Tenaha St. at Henrietta St. on January 13, 2026, Tuesday.

Henrietta St intersection will be closed to thru traffic, Northbound traffic on Tenaha St will be detoured down Foster St. Traffic on Tenaha St. headed towards square will be allowed to continue thru.

Please use caution when traveling thru this area, Work will begin at 8am and last majority of the day.
