October 16, 2025 - A meeting of the Safety and Security Committee of the Shelbyville Independent School District will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 beginning at 1:30 p.m., in the High School Library of the Shelbyville Independent School District at 5322 St. Hwy 87 S, Shelbyville, Texas. September 26, 2025, has been designated as Shelbyville ISD’s Lone Star Cup Day. The UIL Lone Star Cup is awarded annually to six high schools, one in each of the six UIL classifications (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A and 6A), based on their team performance in district and state championships. The winning school in each classification receives the UIL Lone Star Cup trophy and a $1,000 scholarship. Since its inception in 1998, less than 5% of all high schools in the state of Texas have managed to ever win the Lone Star Cup.
