August 26, 2026 - The Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center is incredibly grateful to the East Texas Communities Foundation for a generous grant from the John Reagan Harris Community Fund.
This support helps us continue providing critical services to children and families in our community at no cost to them. We are thankful for partners who believe in the importance of protecting children, supporting families, and helping children heal.
November 28, 2023 - The 3rd annual Mistletoe Market benefiting the Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center is set for December 2nd from 9am until 3pm at the Windham Civic Center, 146 Express Blvd, Center, Texas.
November 28, 2023 - Breakfast with Santa is coming to the John D. Windham Civic Center on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 9am until 11am with proceeds to benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center. Enjoy breakfast with Santa and his surprise guests!
November 18, 2022 - The CAC Annual Toy Drive starts Today, Friday, Nov 18! We are excited to have this chance to brighten the lives of children who have experienced abuse or trauma, but we know this is only possible through the generosity of our community. This year we will have tags for each child in need that will specify age and interests.
April 7, 2022 - The Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center will be hosting our annual Butterfly Release in recognition of April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month. This event will take place on Thursday, April 7th, on the downtown square starting at 4:30pm.

June 9, 2020 – The American Electric Power Foundation has awarded a total of $29,500 to five East Texas nonprofits in Southwestern Electric Power Co.’s (SWEPCO) service area providing additional health and human services in response to COVID-19.
