March 8, 2021 - The Shelby County Chamber Ambassadors and the staff and volunteers at the Shelby County Outreach Ministries are excited to invite the public to a Ribbon Cutting at the Unique Boutique Thrift Shop. The Ribbon Cutting will be held on Thursday, March 18th at 10:00am. The Unique Boutique is located at 906 Shelbyville Street.
The Unique Boutique Thrift shop has a brand new roof and has undergone extensive renovations and expansion. You may remember, the Unique Boutique lost the roof and suffered severe water damage to the interior and inventory during Hurricane Laura last August. It was considered a “total loss.” In November, the Shelby County Outreach Ministries received a check from the Nacogdoches Area United Way in the amount of $5,000 which helped with the renovations.
Sales from the Unique Boutique help fund all programs of the Shelby County Outreach Ministries which include, the Outreach Ministries, Senior Nutrition Site and Meals on Wheels. They accept clothes, toys, furniture and home décor – in good condition. The shop is open Monday thru Friday from 9am-5pm.
The Shelby County Outreach has been helping those in need for 30 years.
