February 17, 2026 - Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the governing body of the City of Tenaha will be held on the 23rd day of February 2026 at 5:30pm at the Tenaha Municipal Building, 238 North George Bowers Drive, Tenaha, Texas, for the Regular Meeting at which time the following subjects will be considered, to wit:
1. Call to Order and establish a quorum
2. Invocation
3. Pledge
4. Citizens Input: This time it is provided for members of the public to address the City Council on items that appear within the agenda, or a matter not listed on the agenda. Each speaker is limited to 3 minutes. A Citizens Input Form must be filled out and filed with the City Secretary prior to the meeting.
|. (Be advised that the Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the City Council from taking formal action, discussion, deliberation, or comment on citizen input for a matter not listed on the agenda. The law authorizes the following: make a statement of factual information, recite existing policy, advise that a subject be placed on the agenda for a subsequent meeting. Citizens should not engage in shouting, unruly behavior, defamation, personal attacks, profanity, orthreats of any kind. Comments shall be addressed to the Mayor and Council. Citizens who violate these rules will be asked to cease the violation and if the violation continues, they will be asked to leave the meeting.)

9. Discussion and possible action to adopt Resolution Regarding Civil Rights for TxCDBG Contract CDM25-0523
10. Discussion and possible action to adopt _ as Fair Housing Month.
11. Discussion only for Section 3 Presentation to Local Community.
12. Presentation of TDA Form A1024 CDBG Section 3 Goals and Concepts as related to the CDBG Program and Grant Contract Number CDV23-0110.
13. Discussion and possible action on approving a resolution to formally reject and rescind the award of engineering services from for the 2024 Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Program (CDBG-DR) administered through the Texas General Land Office.
14. Discussion and possible action on approving the repairs to the Backhoe with Doggett Machinery Services in the amount of $7,190.14 Estimate # 008320
15.Sec. 551.074. PERSONNEL MATTERS; CLOSED MEETING.
a. 90 Day Evaluation for Chief of Police Michael Davidson.
(1) to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee; or
(2) to hear a complaint or charge against an officer or employee.
16. Council Items: Reports by the members of the City Council on matters not on the agenda will be made at this time. A total does not exceed 10 minutes will be devoted to these reports.
17. Adjourn
The Council reserves the right to retire into executive sessions considering any of the items listed on the agenda whenever it is considered necessary and is legally justified under the Open Meetings Act.
