The workshop will allow Councilmembers to discuss agenda items before the meeting and also give guest speakers an opportunity to go over reports and answer questions.

Timpson Dumpster Notice

January 26, 2016 - The Dumpster will be here on February 6, 2016 beside City Hall on Railroad Avenue at 7:30AM. Oil, freon, paint, batteries, tires, refrigerators and computer equiment are banned from being dumped. The city also asks that you refrain from dumping outside of the dumpster.

 

Timpson City Council Notice of Special Meeting Agenda, Jan 12th

January 7, 2016 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the governing body of the above named City will be held on the 12th day of January 2016 at 5:30 pm. at the City Hall, 456 Jacob Street, Timpson, Texas, at which time the following subjects will be considered, to-wit:

1. Discuss and take action: The Council will revisit the appointment of the Mayor due to new information obtained from the Texas Municipal League.

2. Discuss and take action: The Council will discuss and appoint a Mayor Pro Tem.

December 30, 2015 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the governing body of the above named City will be held on the 4th day of January 2016 at 5:30 pm. at the City Hall, 456 Jacob Street, Timpson, Texas, at which time the following subjects will be considered, to-wit:

  1. Discuss and take action: The Council will accept the resignation of Mayor Debra Smith.

  2. Discuss and take action: The Council will deliberate and appoint a new Mayor. The new Mayor will serve only until the May 2016 Election when that seat will be open.

December 23, 2015 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the governing body of the above named City will be held on the 29th day of December 2015 at 5:30 pm. at the City Hall, 456 Jacob Street, Timpson, Texas, at which time the following subjects will be considered, to-wit:

    1. Discuss and take action: The Council will discuss an Ordinance authorizing the City to collect outstanding fee and fines. James Guest of Linebarger Goggan Blair & Simpson will be in attendance.

Timpson to Have Dumpsters

November 25, 2015 - The dumpster will be in Timpson on RR Avenue beside the City Hall on Saturday, December 5th. It will be available in the a.m. until it reaches capacity.
