January 21, 2016 - Tri-County Community Action (TCCA) was the recipient of a $2,500 donation from Whataburger to benefit their food pantry program, "Harvest for Homes".

Cooper Graduates Air Force Basic Training

January 19, 2016 - Marissa Cooper graduated Air Force Basic Training on Friday, December 4, 2015 from Lackland Air Force Base, Texas San Antonio, Texas. She is currently in technical training in San Antonio for security forces. Her first duty station following technical training is Maelstrom AFB, Montana.

Riders Win Against Carthage, Lady Riders Suffer Losses

January 18, 2016 - The Center Roughrider Basketball teams placed at home against Carthage Friday, January 15, 2016. The boy's varsity team left the court with a win over Carthage 59-44 upping their season to 11-7. Points scored in the game were Jaterious Evans (11), Octavius Evans (10), Kyle Parks (8), Tyrone Roland (7), DaCorey McGee (6), Sayoddrick Barnes (5), Austin Craig (4), Ja'Dus Johnson (4), Jamonie Nash (2), and Dion Thedford (2). Center City Council Approves MLK Day Parade; Sale of Surplus Street Signs

January 12, 2016 - Center City Council approved all agenda items at their Monday, January 11, 2016 regular meeting. Many of the agenda items are annual ordinances and resolutions the council revisits with each new year including the approval of the Annual MLK Day Parade and March set for Monday, January 18th at 4pm. Participants are to meet in the middle of the downtown Center Square for line up at 3:30pm.

December 28, 2015 - The Shelbyville Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a trailer house fire on CR 2024 on Monday, December 28th at 2:35pm and arrived on scene to see a home fully engulfed in flames. The trailer house belonged to Martell Moore.
