November 6, 2015 - The Rio Theatre will be hosting Woodlawn, a limited release Christian movie about a football team who overcomes diversity together, starting Friday, November 6th and running through Tuesday, November 10th.

October 14, 2015 - Made to Ride (M.T.R.) M/C, a motorcycle group from Center, was driven by a desire to help the community and decided to volunteer some hours on Sunday, October 11th to clean up the St. Paul's cemetery on Tenaha Street which was in need of some tender loving care.

Roughrider Class of 1957 Donates $5,000 to RSF

October 10, 2015 - The Center Roughrider Class of 1957 made a $5,000 donation to the Catherine Pinkston Roughrider Scholarship Foundation (RSF) Friday morning, October 9th. The donation will provide a perpetual scholarship to a graduating senior each year forward. Accepting the donation on behalf of the RSF was scholarship foundation representatives Jerry Pinkston, Becky Jeans, and Lisa McAdams. Following the donation, the class enjoyed breakfast at Pickles and Petunias.
