December 1, 2018 - Law enforcement officers from multiple agencies have amassed on State Highway 7 in Center at the intersection of FM 2788 where they have blocked off all access in and out of that area since around 4:30pm Saturday.

November 30, 2018 - The manhunt which started Wednesday, November 28th for Antonio Jaso Aguilar of Center, Texas has led to him making the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list by Texas Department of Public Safety.

See Santa at Holiday on Foster; Bring a Toy Donation for Operation Blue Santa

November 26, 2018 - Mathews Real Estate invites everyone to come out to Holiday on Foster today, November 26th starting at 5:30pm for a great time and a great cause! Bring the kids out to visit and a picture with Santa Clause and visit with a Center Police officer who is helping with Operation Blue Santa. Instead of Santa giving out gifts, Santa will be asking for toy donations for Blue Santa. The Center Police Department officer will have a Patrol unit ready for kids to see the lights and hear the sirens.

Center Motor Company Offering Reward for Arrest of Burglary Suspects

November 26, 2018 - According to Kevin Jones, Center Motor Company is offering a $1,000 reward leading to the arrest and indictment of individuals who entered Center Motor Company and stole tools and small equipment between 6pm Tuesday, November 20 and 7am Friday, November 23, 2018.

If you have information regarding this crime, please contact the Center Police Department at 936-598-2788. Detective Bobby Walker is handling the investigation.

Center Motor Company is located on Hurst Street in Center next to Wal-Mart and McDonald's restaurant.

Movie Goers Receive Early Christmas Gift Thanks to Local Church

November 26, 2018 - Tis the season of giving and many of the kids attending the showing of "The Grinch" at the RIO Theatre on Friday night received an early Christmas gift thanks to the generosity of Old Salem Missionary Baptist Church.

November 23, 2018 - Operation Blue Santa drew on Thanksgiving Day and announced the winner of the Savage Trophy Hunter 6.5 Creedmoor with Nikon Scope to be Billy Neal of Center. Proceeds from the raffle go to Operation Blue Santa and delivering toys to kids for Christmas.
