Tenaha ISD Reports Positive Cases of COVID-19

September 4, 2020 - Tenaha ISD has reported, through its social media, several cases of COVID-19.

The following statement includes the information they released:

Dear parents and staff,

At this time, Tenaha ISD has confirmation of four positive tests for Covid-19 among students and staff since school released due to Hurricane Laura. Three of the four positive tests have not been on campus within 7 days of the test result, and the fourth case was last on campus on Tuesday, September 1.

Timpson ISD Reports Two COVID-19 Cases

September 3, 2020 - As the battle continues against COVID-19, Shelby County is daily faced with the difficulty of new cases.

In an effort to keep the public informed, and to provide transparency throughout this struggle which everyone is facing, Timpson ISD has shared two cases have occurred and recently been reported.

The following is what was shared on the school's social media page Wednesday evening:

Heavy, Brief Rainstorm Causes Blockage of Two Major Highways

September 3, 2020 - Heavy rains blew through Shelby County on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 which resulted in traffic incidents on two highways causing delays.

Emergency personnel were dispatched to State Highway 7 West near CR 1170 at 12:35pm.

Commissioners Meet During Power Outage; Ratify Disaster Declaration

September 2, 2020 - The Shelby County Commissioners held a meeting during a power outage Wednesday, September 2, 2020.

SH 87 North at CR 1034 Scene of Single-Vehicle Crash

August 31, 2020 - State Highway 87 North at CR 1034 was the scene of a single-vehicle crash Monday, August 31, 2020.

SH 7, CR 3156 Scene of Two-Vehicle Crash (Updated 10:48pm)

August 31, 2020 - State Highway 7 East at CR 3156 was the scene of a two-vehicle crash Monday, August 31, 2020.

According to Texas Department of Public Safety State Trooper Keith Jones, at 3:25pm Shelby Ann Lebouef, 27, was driving a white 2012 Jeep Compass westbound on SH 7.

VFW Post 8904 Honors Iraq War Veterans

August 31, 2020 - VFW Post 8904 veterans and auxiliary gathered before the Shelby County Veterans Memorial at the Historic Shelby County Courthouse August 31, 2020 in remembrance of those who served in the Iraq War.

Truck Collides with Utility Pole on Shelbyville Street (Updated 11:45pm)

August 29, 2020 - Shelbyville Street in Center at the intersection of Elliot Street is the scene of a collision with a pickup truck and utility pole August 29, 2020 at around 4:30pm.

FM 417 Impassable; Crews Working to Clear Roads (Open)

August 27, 2020 - FM 417 is free-flowing again, as of 2:22pm. Small debris remains on the roadway at different locations, and travelers should continue to use caution.
