December 2, 2015 - Emergency crews were dispatched to a wreck on State Highway 87 South just north of Shelbyville on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at 9:45pm in which the vehicle was impaled on a fence and was reported to be on fire.

November 30, 2015 - (Update) A press conference was given by Tenaha City Marshal Jimmy Wagstaff at the Tenaha City Hall on Monday, November 30, 2015.

November 25, 2015 - The Center Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire at 7:48am on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 on CR 3047 in the Sardis Community at the residence of Will Blackwell.

Smoke was emitting form the home when firemen arrived. The residents were at the house and had evacuated before their arrival.

The origin of the fire was believed to have been from the kitchen and to have started on the stove. Heavy smoke damage to the home resulted from the fire; however, the house was saved.

At 9:30am the firemen returned to the station.

Update: Around 2pm, Demetrius Bennett was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held in the Shelby County Jail.

November 20, 2015 - FM 414 was the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Friday, November 20, 2015. Shelby County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the scene as well as Texas Department of Public Safety State Troopers. The deputies directed traffic in the curvy roadway while the troopers investigated the crash.
