Joaquin ISD Statement Regarding Potential Threat

October 6, 2017 - Joaquin ISD received information regarding an anonymous text message from an unknown number containing a potential threat to the school. The authorities were contacted and an investigation is being conducted. Upon initial investigation, it was determined there was no immediate danger to any of your children or Joaquin ISD staff. The anonymous text was not intended for Joaquin ISD. Authorities have contacted the out of state school where it was intended.

Joaquin ISD Gifted, Talented Nominations Letter

September 28, 2017 - Dear Parents/Guardians, Gifted and Talented student nominations for grades 6-8 will begin Monday, October 4, 2017, and end Friday, October 13, 2017. If you would like to nominate your child, a nomination application will be sent home for you to complete and return. Please contact Terri Gray for a nomination packet or with any questions you may have regarding the Joaquin Jr. High GT Program.

September 22, 2017 - The Joaquin ISD School Board met September 18, 2017 in regular session at 6:00 p.m. in the Joaquin Boardroom with the following members present: Chrisco Bragg (arrived at 6:43 p.m.), Thomas Harvey, Jeff Cater, Bill Mason, Jr., Brandon Neal (arrived at 6:38 p.m.) and Tam Hearnsberger. Board member absent was Ronnie Belrose. Guests present were Molly Mason; Lanie Stanley; Michalla Byrd; and Wayne Haglund, School Attorney. Joaquin ISD employees present were Phil Worsham, Superintendent; Joel Bumback, Director of Finance; Terri Gray, Jr.
