SCOM "Letter From Santa" Event Deadline This Week

December 11, 2024 - Shelby County Outreach Ministries is sending out a final reminder. The deadline to turn in your Santa Letter order is Friday, December 13th. 

For only $10 per letter, your child will receive a letter from Santa with their name on it! Inside each letter, Santa will also give the first gift of Christmas, a Christmas tree ornament. Imagine your kid receiving a letter with their name on it from Santa himself! Not only that but there is a gift inside!

SCOM Canned Food Drive

November 25, 2024 - Shelby County Outreach Ministries is in need of can food donations. With the high cost of food and inflation, more clients are coming to us for food assistance. Currently we are issuing over 400 emergency food boxes per month to those in need. 1-in-6 adults and 1-in-4 children living in East Texas do not know where their next meal will come from.

Short Community 2024 Homecoming, Singing

September 25, 2024 - Short Community Homecoming and Singing is October 13, 2024 with a potluck dinner at 12 noon and open mic singing at 1:30pm.

Outreach Ministries Thanks All for Success of "An Elvis Tribute"

SCOM Closed for Labor Day

August 29, 2024 - Shelby County Outreach Ministries will close all programs in observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 2, 2024. We will resume regular hours on the following day.

Outreach Ministries Encourages Donations on East Texas Giving Day

Tomorrow is the day!

April 30, 2024 - East Texas Giving Day is an online event that provides funding for local nonprofits. East Texas Communities Foundation is partnering with area nonprofits to give thousands of donors from every community in East Texas a chance to raise funds for local needs.

The purpose is to bring the region together on one day and as one community, raising money and awareness for East Texas nonprofits.
