September 8, 2022 - The NextGen group, under the auspices of the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce, presents a 911 Memorial on the Historic Square in downtown Center by placing an American flag for each life lost during the attack of September 11, 2001.
The Shelby County Republican Party is proud to be the Sponsor of this Chamber Event. As such, we have been invited to help place the flags.
They will gather at 6pm this evening (Thursday, Sept. 8). If you would like to help, we'd like to see you there!
August 29, 2022 - The next Shelby County Republican Club meeting will be Tuesday, September 6th. We will meet at Las Margaritas Restaurant on the Square in Center. Eat (if you wish. Dutch Treat.) at 5:30 p.m. and meeting at 6:00 pm.
Our Guest Speaker will be Johanna Ruis-Siso. It will be a very interesting evening!
February 7, 2018 - (Flyer) - The Shelby County Republican Party is hosting a “Meet The Candidate” Forum on Tuesday, February 13 at 6pm at the John D. Windham Civic Center.
Each candidate will be given time on stage at the microphone to speak to the audience. A microphone will be available for attendees to ask questions, as well.
March 11, 2016 - It has come to our attention that many political candidate signs are missing. The public is reminded that it is a State Felony to unlawfully remove a political sign. There are several runoff elections, so it is appropriate for some signs to still be displayed.
Shelby County Today was informed several political signs have been stolen recently. A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of these stolen campaign signs, and the identity of the person who unlawfully removed the signs from private property.
