June 18, 2024 - Rodolfo J. Oviedo, MD will be this month’s Wellness Wednesday speaker, on June 26 at 12-noon at the Extension Office located at 266 Nacogdoches Street.
Dr. Oviedo is trained in all areas of general surgery, including metabolic and bariatric surgery. As a bariatric surgeon, he can help patients find relief from metabolic diseases and disorders such as diabetes, hypertension, obstructive sleep apnea and gastoesophageal reflux disease.
Dr. Oviedo’s priority is the safety of his patients. He approaches every patient with extreme care, compassion and attention to detail.
Plan to attend to meet Dr. Oviedo and learn about the many options available to help with diabetes and more. Dr. Oviedo attended the The Long School of Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He did his Residency in General Surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital’s General Surgery Residency Program. His Fellowship was Advanced Minimally Invasive Gastrointestinal and Bariatric Surgery at Baptist Hospital of Miami, Florida. Dr. Oviedo speaks English, Spanish and French.
