July 16, 2026 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce its annual 5K Chicken Trot, sponsored by Cline Family Medicine, scheduled for October 3rd at 8am at Portacool Park. The event will bring together runners, walkers, families and community supporters for a morning of fitness and fun.
Registration is underway on runsignup.com or at the Chamber of Commerce office. The Early Bird Registration fee for the 5K is $25, if you register before September 7th. Registration after September 7th will be $30. Registration includes a tee shirt and an entrance button to the 50th Annual East Texas Poultry Festival, good for all three days. Participants of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to join.
Proceeds will go to the Center Rotary Club and to the many community projects the Rotarians support.
