August 13, 2026 - Brittany Ford, communications representative for Deep East Texas Electric Coop, will speak to Timpson Area Genealogy and Heritage Society Wednesday, August 19, at 2pm in the Timpson Public Library annex. She will explain the history of rural electrification associations and how they have evolved to today's coops. Also, Ms. Ford will tell her audience how rural coops operate, and how they differ from for profit delivery systems.
