August 18, 2026 - Why did the chicken cross the road? To run in the 2026 East Texas Poultry Festival Chicken Trot, sponsored by Cline Family Medicine on October 3rd at Portacool Park. The 5K Chicken Trot will start at 8am. It is always a fun event, with proceeds going to the Center Rotary Club. Register now, and join the fun!
The Early Bird Registration fee for the 5K is $25, if you register before September 7th. Registration after September 7th will be $30. Registration includes a tee shirt and an entrance button to the 50th Annual East Texas Poultry Festival, good for all three days. You can register on runsignup.com or contact the Chamber of Commerce.
