September 16, 2026 - Only 15 days left until the 50th Annual East Texas Poultry Festival, Sponsored by Farmers State Bank, opens its gates to a weekend of Fun, Entertainment, Arts and Crafts and lots of Food back on the downtown square!
The Cutting of the Feathers will be held on Thursday, October 1st at 10am on the Frances Oates Center Stage! We are looking forward to having the school children back on stage to sing.
All three days, the entertainment stage will be busy with school groups, dancing groups and singing groups. Of course there will be the Wing Eating Contest, Ag/Mechanic Auction, the Chicken Clucking Contest, Lion’s Club vehicle drawing and the Broiler Auction.
For all three days you can enjoy the Creative Arts Show, Quilt Show and Photography Show held at First Baptist Church Family Life Center. They are Sponsored by Doches Credit Union, Scull Timber and The Light and Champion.
The 5K Chicken Trot, Sponsored by Cline Family Medicine will be held on Saturday morning, October 3, at Portacool Park. The 5K starts at 8am. There is still time to sign up to run or walk. Proceeds will go to the Center Rotary Club.
The 2026 East Texas Poultry Festival Queen will be crowned on September 26th at 7pm at Center High School. The Queen and her Court shall reign over the Festival.
