Mr. Ferguson was born November 2, 1951, in Garrison, to Powel James Ferguson and Betty Louise Clifton Ferguson. He loved his children and his family. Mr. Ferguson attended First Baptist Church.

Brenda S. Adkinson, 70, of Milam, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2019, in Milam.

Mrs. Adkinson was born April 16, 1949, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to Levi Newcomb and Crystal Martin Newcomb. She moved to Texas in 1978 and later married Willie Adkinson in 1980. In 2006, she moved to Milam. She lived for the Lord and loved her family with all her heart. Her son and grandson were her pride and joy and everything she did was for them. She will be dearly missed. Mrs. Adkinson was of the Pentecostal faith.

Mary Ann McLeroy Woods, 66, of Redmond, Oregon passed away Saturday, October 12th from an extended struggle with cancer. She was born on October 4, 1953 to Jack McLeroy and Bessie Johnson McLeroy in Center, Texas.
She was a 1971 graduate of Center High School where she was the class salutatorian and a member of the Roughrider Band. She attended Tyler Junior College with a band scholarship, and was a member of Zeta Phi Omega sorority. As a member of the TJC band she participated in the 1971 Super Bowl in New Orleans, where the Dallas Cowboys won their first NFL championship. She graduated with honors from Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas, and went on to study nutrition at the University of Indiana-Purdue University, Indianapolis.
For several years, she worked as a dietitian at Scott White Hospital in Temple, Texas before relocating to Central Oregon in 1978. For many years, she was the office manager for Alder Springs Family Medicine in Enterprise, Oregon. She raised her family in Wallowa County, Oregon, where she helped manage the annual county fair and used her skills as a master food preserver. She later moved to the Oregon coast and finished her professional life as a dietitian in Coos Bay.
Mary Ann loved bluegrass music, trains, and cheering for her beloved Oregon Ducks football and basketball teams.

Mary McDonald Warneke, 86, of Timpson, Texas passed away on October 9, 2019 in Timpson, Texas. Born February 11, 1933, Mary is the daughter of the late Jack Garland Brown and Ruby Viola (Chaney) Brown. Visitation will be held Friday, October 11, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:00PM at Taylor Funeral Home, Timpson, Texas. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 2PM at First Assembly of God Church, Timpson, Texas with Bro. E.J. Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Cold Springs Cemetery, Garrison, Texas.
Mary was born in Garrison, Texas. She attended Robert E. Lee school in Tyler, Texas. Mary married the love of her life, Doy McDonald, in February 1951, spending more than 25 years together before his sudden passing in 1974. They had three wonderful children in which they adored. She later married Henry Cecil, and spent 10 years with him. Life happened, and later she married Earnest Warneke, they enjoyed each others compnay, and spent more than 15 years together before his passing with cancer.
She was considered the Roller Derby Queen in her younger years. She also enjoyed playing volleyball in school. Mary was a physical therapist assistant in the public school system for many years. Her love for children was great, but grew even more as she had grandchildren. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Mary was a crafty person, enjoyed making floral arrangements. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, working in the flower beds and gardening. You could find her in the kitchen canning vegetables she had grown, putting up jam from fruit she had gathered, and just cooking great food for her family.
Mary was a devoted christian lady. She is a member of First Assembly of God Church, Timpson. She served her church, in many capacities. She was the chuch clerk for over 30 years, until her health failed. She loved her Lord and was willing to serve him in any way.

Bobbie Ruth Kelley Tanner
A beautiful soul left to be with our Father in Heaven, in the early morning hours of a beautiful day in Port, St. Lucie, Florida.
Funeral service is at 11am Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Church of Christ, 600 Martin Luther King Blvd, San Augustine, TX. Visitations will begin on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 10am until 11am at the Church of Christ. Interment is at Haley Bush Cemetery, Bland Lake community, San Augustine, Texas.
Bobbie was born in Center, TX, to the late Willie Mae Kelley Tanner and Chester Bell Sr. She attended the Lincoln School system where she graduated in 1958. She moved through life and found a career as a quality control Inspector for Bruce Hardwood flooring. She retired with 35 plus years of service.
Bobbie was added to the Church of Christ at an early age under the direction of Bro. Clonnie White and she ended her service to Christ at the Lake Street Church of Christ, under the direction of Bro. Henry McFadden in Stuart, Florida. Bobbie was the loving mother of three children, son, James Patrick Tanner preceded her in glory (Yolanda).

Mr. Barton was born December 31, 1950, in Center, to Elzie Barton and Jessi Shelton Barton. He was employed as a truck driver for Tyson Foods. An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Barton enjoyed hunting and fishing. His most treasured times were times spent with family.

Mr. Odom was born July 9, 1936, in Nocomis, Florida. He served in the United States Air Force and later worked as an electrician for IBEW Local. Mr. Odom was an avid outdoorsman and was known for his love of John Deere Tractors. A loving husband, Dad, Paw-Paw, and friend, Mr. Odom was happiest when spending time with his family.

Kay Fodge, 69, of Gary, Texas passed away on October 1, 2019 in Nacogdoches, Texas. Born December 24, 1949, in Sikeston, Missouri, Kay is the daughter of Glenn William Greene and the late Betty Jo (Marvel) Greene.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 4, 2019 from 1:00 – 3:00PM at Taylor Funeral Home, Timpson, Texas. Funeral service will be held Friday, October 4, 2019 at 3PM at Taylor Funeral Home, Timpson, Texas with Bro. Darrell Owens and Bro. Carroll Jones officiating. Private burial will be held at a later date.
Kay was born and raised in Sikeston, Missouri. She graduated from Sikeston High School Class of 1967. She married the love of her life, Mike, while he was working for her father, and the two were joined together in December, following her graduation. Their love for one another has immensly grown over the last 51 years together rasing their children and now enjoying a grandson.
She worked as an Instructional Aide for Timpson ISD for more than 18 years before retiring in 2015. Spoiling children was her true act of kindness, but spoiling her grandson, Charlie was the absolute best. Kay enjoyed many things like crocheting and reading. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt. Kay was a devoted pastors’ wife for the past 35 years. She is a member of West Hamilton Missionary Baptist Church.

Margaret’s favorite memories as a child were those of her school days. She often spoke of how simple things seemed, and how she loved walking home for lunch and going through the old natural rock store. She loved her teachers and school in general. She had a vivid memory of her teachers and what they taught. Margaret would spend hours talking of the days of old when she enjoyed the rhythm band, the trips to the cedar tree where the water pipes served as “fountains”. The stories she remembered seemed to be from a book of tales, but in reality, it was her everyday life. Her passion for learning came exclusively from her times as a youngster with her teachers. Upon her graduation from Nacogdoches High School in 1952, she pursued her dream of being a teacher by enrolling in Stephen F. Austin University. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in 1955 and Master of Education in 1960. She taught from 1955-1956 in Pasadena, Texas. She then taught in Martinsville beginning in 1962, initially as a substitute, followed by a fulltime position, until her retirement in 1989. Her life after retirement was filled with wonderful memories made with those she loved. Her love of life and family and her exceptionally happy demeanor will be forever remembered by everyone.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Bailey, Rocky Justice, Wesley Lucas, David Martin, Kevin Martin, and Sean Martin.

Blain Clark, 59, of Center, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at his residence.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 3, 2019, Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Billy Windham and Bro. Jerry Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery in Center.
Mr. Clark was born January 25, 1960, in Center, to Willis Brady Clark and Dorothy Mae Monk Clark. He was a rancher, loved riding horses, and spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Clark was a past master mason of Sam Houston Masonic Lodge #32 in Shelbyville. He was a member of New Harmony Church.

LaVar Annette Buckner, a longtime resident of Silsbee, Texas, passed away early Sunday, September 29, 2019, in Sugar Land, Texas, at the age of 100 years, 3 months, and 24 days.
Mrs. Buckner was born June 5, 1919, in Greeley, Colorado, and had lived in Southeast Texas most of her life. She had been a dedicated member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for 60 years, and was most recently a member of First Baptist Church in Rosenberg, Texas.
Her survivors include her daughter, Alice Milat and husband Lloyd of Sugar Land; grandchildren, Tracy Self and husband Tim of Nacogdoches, Texas, Jason Buckner and wife Brandi of Lumberton, Texas, Sarah Hughes and husbnad David of Richmond, Texas, Joshua Milat of Spring, Texas, Stacey Ovanes and husband Matt of Boxford, Massachusetts, and Melissa DeFrees and husband Glen of New York; 18 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin J. Buckner, on May 17, 1996; her son, Lamar C. Buckner; and her parents, Arthur W. Mondt and Louise Mondt Wilson.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 3, 2019, at Farmer Funeral Home Chapel, located at 415 N. Fourth Street in Silsbee, Texas.
Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Farmer Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Fred Raney officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. at Buckner Cemetery, located on FM 417, off U.S. Hwy. 96 South near Center, Texas, in Shelby County.
