October 27, 2015 - The Center Lady Roughrider Volleyball team will go head to head in a Bi-District Playoff game against the Carthage Lady Bulldogs on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Gary High School, Bobcat Gym located at 132 Bobcat Trail, Gary, TX 75643.

October 27, 2015 - The entire CHS Varsity Cross Country team qualified for the state championship, which will be held on November 7, at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock. The team placed 4th out of 23 teams.

Individually, the boys placed as follows:
7 - Giovani Angel
11 - Antonio chavez
36 - Juan Ramirez 36
37 - Ruben Soto 37
59 - Daniel chavez 59
61 - Arnol Escobedo 61
106 - Martin Soto 106

There were 161 total runners.

October 27, 2015 - Keanna Osby, Sophomore at Shelbyville High School finished 5th overall at the Regional Cross Country Meet held in Huntsville, TX , to qualify for the State Meet in Austin on November 7th. Way to go Keanna we are so proud of you!!!

October 26, 2015 (Photo by James Greer) - Center ISD Cross Country boys team competed in the Region III, 2A-6A Regional Meet at Kate Barr Ross Memorial Park, Huntsville, Texas and placed 4th qualifing for the state meet. Giovanni Angel won 7th place.

Heavy amounts of rain caused the Regional Meet to be moved from Sunday, October 25th to Monday. The runners ran on a wet, sloppy, and muddy course. Congratulations team on pushing through the tough weather and conditions and earning a chance to compete at state!

The State Cross Country Meet will be held at Old Settlers Park, Round Rock, Texas on November 7, 2015.

October 23, 2015 - The Roughrider Tennis Team has qualified for the Region III 4-A Team Tennis Championships.

Our student-athletes will travel to Willis, Texas on Thursday, October 29, 2015 where they will begin competition on Friday morning, October 30, 2015 at the Blythe Calfee Tennis Center (Tournament Headquarters) located at 701 Gerald St., Willis, Texas (located at Lynn Lucas Middle School.)

Concessions will be available.

The team is scheduled to return to Center on Saturday evening, October 31, 2015.

October 22, 2015 - Our Regional Cross Country Qualifiers will be traveling to Huntsville, Texas on Sunday, October 25, 2015 where Sam Houston State University will be hosting the 2015 UIL Region III Cross Country Championships.

Races will take place at Kate Barr-Ross Park located at 486 State Hwy 75 North, Huntsville, Texas 77340.

Divsion 4-A Girls' race to begin at 9:40 a.m, Boys' race at 10:10 a.m.

Participants: Cheyenne Byrnes, Illiana Rojas, Giovani Angel, Arnol Escobedo, Isidro Lopez, Antonio Chavez, Ruben Soto, Juan Ramirez, Daniel Chavez, and Martin Soto.

October 21, 2015 - Shelbyville Dragon fans are encouraged to join Texas high school football fans across the state in wearing  black and gold on Friday, Oct. 23 at the Dragons vs Beckville football game.

Alto High School football player, Cam’Ron Matthews passed away after last Friday night’s  game.

We would like to encourage our fans to wear black & gold to show support for the Alto community and the Matthews family.

October 21, 2015 - Due to excessive rain and potential severe weather forecasted in the NE Texas area for Friday and Saturday the Varsity football game will be moved to Thursday October 22nd at 7PM in Atlanta.

As a result of this schedule change all subvarsity games (7th/8th/9th/JV) will be cancelled for this week. Please note the start time thursday is 30 min earlier than the Friday start time. We apologize for any inconvienence.

 

October 19, 2015 - Both the boys and girls Cross Country teams advanced past District to compete at Regionals.

In the girls division, Kiki Osby won the Individual Gold Medal, Jakyra Ross won the Individual Silver Medal, and Brittney Risinger, Jasmine Osby, and Maryanna Mendoza made up the rest of the Lady Dragon team who finished in team competition as District Runner Up.

For the boys, H'leighen McClelland finished 5th overall, JJ Boykins finished 8th over all, and Ryan Bailey, Jeorge Hernandez, AB Gonzales, and Kurtrick Allen made up the rest of the Dragon team who finished in team competition as District Runner Up.

The Regional Meet will be held at Kate Barr-Ross Park in Huntsville Texas on Monday, October 26th. The girls will run at 1:30 and the boys at 2:00.
