SFA to Honor 2026 Alumni Award Recipients, Athletics Hall of Fame Inductees at Lumberjack Legacies Celebration

September 14, 2026 - Stephen F. Austin State University will honor its 2026 alumni award recipients and SFA Athletics Hall of Fame inductees at 6pm Friday, September 25, at The Fredonia Hotel in Nacogdoches.

“These honorees exemplify the very best of the Lumberjack spirit,” said Craig Turnage, executive director of alumni relations. “Their contributions in their professions, their communities and to SFA demonstrate the legacy of excellence that continues to define our alumni.”

SFA President to Address Graduates at University’s Summer Commencement Ceremony

Dr. Neal Weaver, president of Stephen F. Austin State University, will deliver the commencement address to all bachelor's, master's and doctoral candidates during SFA’s summer commencement ceremony at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, in Johnson Coliseum.

SFA Appoints New Principal, Superintendent for SFA Charter School

Stephen F. Austin State University has appointed Dr. Dana Solomon as principal and superintendent of SFA Charter School. Solomon will begin her tenure during the summer.
