Workers gathered from the Joaquin Volunteer Fire Department, Masonic Lodge, and Methodist Church. Mike was a member of all three of these groups as well as being the mayor of Joaquin at one time. It gave us all a great deal of pleasure to be able to honor Mike with this first fundraiser. We were able to serve 130 plates and took in donations exceeding $2000.00. These funds will enable us to award scholarships to future graduates of Joaquin High School.
Many thanks to all who worked and to those who donated their money to honor this fine man.
