May 1, 2017 - Although $10,000 for the Tenaha Volunteer Fire Department was approved at the March 27, 2017 meeting of the Tenaha City Council, a meeting regarding the budget did not occur in the interim and the council determined during the April 24, 2017 meeting a budget meeting is necessary.

April 26, 2017 - CR 1012 on U.S. Highway 96 South was the scene of a two-vehicle crash involving a Pilgrim's Pride pickup truck and a truck-tractor hauling a trailer on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.

April 22, 2017 - State Highway 7 just under four miles east of Center was the scene of a crash which occurred while students were disembarking from a Center ISD school bus April 20, 2017.

April 14, 2017 - Following a report from Jimmy Wagstaff, Tenaha City Marshal, on the activity of his department for the previous month Stephanie Marie Glenn, councilwoman, stated she had received some complaints recently and she requested the schedule for Marshal Wagstaff and his deputies.
