Texas House Impeaches Attorney General

May 28, 2023 - Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has been impeached by the Texas House regarding 20 charges of impeachment presented by a bi-partisan investigative committee.

The action was taken with a 121-23 vote for impeachment of The Texas Attorney General.

Commissioners Appoint Green to JP 4

May 17, 2023 - Following an executive session of the Shelby County Commissioners during their special meeting held May 17, 2023, the commissioners decided to appoint Margaret Dee Dee Green to Justice of the Peace Precinct 4.

After an hour long executive session, a motion carried to appoint Margaret Dee Dee Green as the Justice of the Peace for Precinct 4 for the remainder of this current term. That position will take effect on July 1, 2023.
