February 12, 2018 Carthage, Texas – The Panola College men’s basketball team defeated 18th ranked Paris Junior College this past Wednesday and Navarro College over the weekend. With the two wins, Panola elevates their conference record to 9-5 and overall record to 16-8. “This was two good wins for our ball team. On Wednesday we never gave up and on Saturday we executed really well all game long.” Head Coach Grant McMillan stated.
January 23, 2018 - Panola College will honor longtime theatre professor Elizabeth Hedges by formally naming the campus Studio Theatre in her honor. Former students, friends and the public are invited to a reception scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 16 in the Elizabeth R. Hedges Studio Theatre.
January 22, 2018 Corsicana, Texas – The Panola College men’s basketball team lost to Navarro College here Saturday afternoon, 100-78. The loss snaps Panola’s six game winning streak. Panola sits 5-3 in Region 14 play and 12-6 overall. “A combination of their hot shooting and our struggles really hurt us today.” Head Coach Grant McMillan stated. “We just have to play better on the road.” He added.
January 12, 2018 - Jacksonville, Texas – The Panola College men’s basketball team captured a Region 14 victory here Thursday night, 85-78. With the win, Panola elevates their record to 11-5 and 4-2 in Region play. “This game was a great example of playing all 40 minutes. We were steady for most of the night, took some lumps, but eventually hit our stride half way through the second half.” Head Coach Grant McMillan stated.
January 10, 2018 - The Panola College Foundation is excited to announce their 4th Designer Purse Bingo event as their spring fundraiser. The event will be held at the Carthage Civic Center on Friday, March 23, 2018. This event has been a sell out with 500 attendees in the past and is always a fun night for everyone. The doors will open at 5:30 pm, and the games will begin at 6:30 pm. Tickets will go on sale January 15 and are expected to sell out quickly.
January 09, 2018 - Panola College has partnered with VanEd to provide a unique education program for students wishing to become a licensed Texas real estate salesperson. The program is based around VanEd's successful online licensing coursework, with the addition of supplemental classroom tutoring sessions hosted twice a week at Panola College. All of VanEd’s Texas online real estate courses meet the current TREC Standards and are ARELLO approved. Classes will begin January 16 through March 16.

The win raises their record to 10-5 and 3-2 in Region 14 play. “This was a back and fourth game where our guys stayed composed to make plays down the stretch.” Head Coach Grant McMillan stated. “Our guys are starting to really buy in and trust each other. It’s fun to watch.” He added.
