Next month marks the 22nd Anniversary of the September 11 attacks. Across the United States, cities, towns, communities large and small and college campuses have been honoring the nearly 3,000 victims of this horrible tragedy by placing 3,000 flags in public spaces.

September 13, 2023 - The Shelby County Chamber Ambassadors are excited to invite the public to a New Member Ribbon Cutting for our new member, Noble Children’s Services on Wednesday, September 13th at 11am. Noble Children’s Services is located at 1306 Louisiana Street.

Elizabeth Andrusick, Executive Director opened Noble Children’s Services 13 years ago. She has an office in Tyler as well as the Center office.

August 29, 2023 - Why did the chicken cross the road? To run in the 2023 East Texas Poultry Festival Chicken Trot, sponsored by Axley & Rode on October 7th at Portacool Park. New this year is a 1K Fun Run which will start at 7:30am. The 5K Chicken Trot will start at 8:00am. It is always a fun event, with proceeds going to Cultivate Mental Health. July 27, 2023 - Applications are currently being accepted for the nine month long Leadership Shelby County program which is designed to identify potential leaders and develop within these individuals the knowledge, skills and vision necessary to enable them to actively participate in the enhancement of their communities.
