ETPF Queen’s Court Prepares for 2018 Scholarship Pageant

August 17, 2018 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce recently announced the East Texas Poultry Festival will be October 4-6 on the historic downtown square. One of several preliminary festivities is the Queen's Court Scholarship Pageant. The reigning East Texas Poultry Festival Queen, Macey Jo Hanson, will crown her successor on Saturday, September 29th on stage at Center High School.

42nd East Texas Poultry Festival Seeks Arts, Crafts Vendors (Deadline Friday)

August 10, 2018 - Planning is underway for the 42nd East Texas Poultry Festival, presented by Farmers State Bank. The Poultry Festival will be held October 4-6 on the historic downtown Center square, with chairmen Josh Payne, leading the steering committee. Arts and Crafts vendor applications are being accepted at the Shelby County Chamber office until Friday, August 10. Chamber of Commerce Announces Ribbon Cutting for Roughrider Quick Lube

August 6, 2018 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce shares an announcement from a new chamber member.

Nathan Phelps announces the opening of his new business, Roughrider Quick Lube, tomorrow Tuesday, August 7th at 8:00am. Roughrider Quick Lube is next to Bob’s Pawn Shop on Hurst Street. Hours will be Monday thru Friday 8:00am until 6:00pm. Saturday hours are 8:00am until 5:00pm.

New Member Ribbon Cutting Planned for Vintage Junkie (Postponed)

August 2, 2018 - The Ribbon Cutting for Vintage Junkie has been postponed for a few weeks. There will be a Ribbon Cutting, so stay tuned for the new Date and Time.


July 27, 2018 - Vintage Junkie, Shelby County Chamber of Commerce’s newest member, is having its New Member Ribbon Cutting on Thursday, August 9th at 11:00am. The public is invited to join the celebration.

Vintage Junkie is located at 210 Tenaha Street.

Chamber Announces Shelby County Grill Fest Winners

June 18, 2018 - The Shelby County Grill Fest Barbecue Cook-off was held Saturday, June 9 at the Windham Civic Center in Center, Texas, with cook teams from across east Texas and western Louisiana vying for over $6,700 in prize money and the Grand Champion trophy along with bragging rights.

The barbecue cook-off was presented by Farmers State Bank and sanctioned by the Lone Star Barbecue Society. The event featured five cooking categories including beans, brisket, chicken, ribs and dessert.

New Member Ribbon Cutting Planned for Pup N Sudz

June 7, 2018 - Pup N Sudz, Shelby County Chamber of Commerce’s newest member is having its New Member Ribbon Cutting. The public is invited to join the celebration.

The New Member Ribbon Cutting for Pup N Sudz, will be held Thursday, June 7th at 11:30. It will be held at their location at 397 Moffett Drive.

Pup N Sudz is owned by Shana Carlton. She offers complete grooming options and extra pampering for your furry friend! You can also purchase dog tags, collars and cute accessories at Pup N Sudz.
