June 18, 2018 - The Shelby County Grill Fest Barbecue Cook-off was held Saturday, June 9 at the Windham Civic Center in Center, Texas, with cook teams from across east Texas and western Louisiana vying for over $6,700 in prize money and the Grand Champion trophy along with bragging rights.

The barbecue cook-off was presented by Farmers State Bank and sanctioned by the Lone Star Barbecue Society. The event featured five cooking categories including beans, brisket, chicken, ribs and dessert.

June 7, 2018 - Pup N Sudz, Shelby County Chamber of Commerce’s newest member is having its New Member Ribbon Cutting. The public is invited to join the celebration.

The New Member Ribbon Cutting for Pup N Sudz, will be held Thursday, June 7th at 11:30. It will be held at their location at 397 Moffett Drive.

May 18, 2018 - Center Independent School District and the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will host an Appreciation Lunch for First Responders, throughout Shelby County on Friday, May 18 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at the Center ISD bus barn located on Loop 500.

First Responders including police officers, department of public safety officers, constables, Sheriff Deputies, firemen, medics, Game Wardens and law enforcement officials will be honored guests.
