City of Tenaha Water Supply Notice of Temporary Disinfectant Conversion

Temporary Disinfectant Conversion from Chloramine to Free Chlorine

October 30, 2024 - The City of Tenaha public water system, (PWS) ID TX 2100002, will temporarily convert the disinfectant used in the distribution system from chloramine to free chlorine. The conversion will begin on November 1, 2024, and continue through November 30, 2024. During this period, you may experience taste and odor changes associated with this type of temporary disinfectant conversion.

City of Tenaha Water Supply Rescinds Boil Water Notice

October 30, 2024 - On October 23, 2024, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Tenaha public water system, no: TX2100002, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

July 1, 2024 - City of Tenaha and Tenaha Businessmen's Club Present Tenaha Independence Day 4th of July Celebration 2024, Thursday July 4, 2024, at Raymond Jackson Stadium.

Gates will open at 6:30pm with Entertainment to start at 7pm and Fireworks to follow at 9pm.
