Color Me Calm - Adult and Young Adult Coloring, ages 14 years and up

July 28, 2016 - Color yourself calm at the Fannie Brown Booth Library. Coloring has been proven to be a great way to combat stress and bring calm to your hectic life. Come join our adult and young adult coloring group, ages 14 years and up, for a time of relaxation and creativity. The library will provide coloring pages of all kinds, markers, colored pencils and gel pens, or you may bring your own supplies if you wish.
June 28, 2016 - Dru Woods will perform at the Fannie Brown Booth Library for the younger children on Thursday, June 30th, at 10:30 a.m. Ms. Woods is a professional storyteller, incorporating music, puppets and storytelling in her program.
Coach Hiram Harrison will talk to the Tweens on Thursday afternoon at 2pm.
He will speak on the importance of staying fit by exercising and eating right.
June 22, 2016 - Coach Hiram Harrison will be at the Fannie Brown Booth Library Thursday, June 23rd, at 10:30 a.m. for the younger children. He will be talking about the importance of being active and eating healthy and about the different sports.
Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. the Tweens group will learn from Terri Lacher to write their own story. This will be an opportunity to write a story about their life, fiction or real. Materials will be provided.
June 21, 2016 - The Fannie Brown Booth Library will have the second Colorpalooza on Tuesday, June 21st, at 2:00 p.m. This is coloring for the whole family - toddlers to grandparents. No experience necessary and the Library will provide crayons, colored pencils, gel pens, markers and a variety of coloring sheets.
June 17, 2016 - The Fannie Brown Booth Library's Friends group presented a check for the proceeds of their Spring Book Sale to Sandra Davis, Library Director, at the June Friends meeting.
June 13, 2016 - The Fannie Brown Booth Library Summer Reading Program for Thursday, June 16th, will be Creature Teacher. She will be here for the younger group at 10:30 a.m. and the Tweens at 2:00 p.m. Last year she brought a tarantula, a very fat frog and a baby kangaroo.
June 8, 2016 - The first event for the Fannie Brown Booth Library's summer reading program will be a puppet show performed by Puppet Wise on Thursday, June 9th, at 10:30 a.m. This show is for ages 4 yrs to 8 yrs.
The Tween program, "Caught Being a Good Friend" will be Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. This is for ages 9yrs to 13yrs. For more information call the library at 936-598-5522.
June 6, 2016 - The Fannie Brown Booth Library will host its first Colorpalooza on Tuesday, June 7th at 2:00 p.m. This is a coloring group for the whole family - toddlers to grandparents.
Color Me Calm is the coloring group for adult and young adults, ages 14 years and up. This group will meet at the library on Thursday, June 9th, at 6:00 p.m.
June 2, 2016 - Summer vacation is here and time for the Fannie Brown Booth Library Summer Reading Program, sponsored again this year by the Center Noon Lions Club.
Reading logs may be picked up at the library beginning Wednesday, June 1, 2016, and must be completed and turned in to the librarian by Friday, July 8, 2016. An Award Ceremony and Party will be held in July for all those who turn in their reading logs.
