Nominations Open for Farmers, Ranchers to Serve on USDA FSA County Committees

June 30, 2026 - Nominations are now being accepted for farmers and ranchers to serve on local U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) county committees. These committees make important decisions about how federal farm programs are administered locally. All nomination forms for the 2026 election must be postmarked or received in the local FSA office by Aug. 3, 2026.        

Producers, Landowners Can Now Enroll in USDA's Grassland Conservation Reserve Program

July 29, 2025 – Agricultural producers and private landowners can now enroll in the Grassland Conservation Reserve Program (Grassland CRP). The sign-up runs until August 8, 2025. Grassland CRP, offered by USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA), is a voluntary working lands conservation program that enables participants to conserve grasslands while also continuing most grazing and haying practices.

USDA Reminds Farmers and Ranchers to Vote in Committee Election

December 2 is the Last Day to Return Ballots

November 26, 2024 — The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has started mailing ballots for the Farm Service Agency (FSA) county committee elections to eligible farmers and ranchers across the country. To be counted, ballots must be returned to the Angelina-Nacogdoches-Trinity-San Augustine-Shelby County FSA office or postmarked by December 2, 2024.

Don’t Let Delivery, Takeout Foods Fumble Your Super Bowl
