June 26, 2017 - Nacogdoches-Angelina-Trinity-San Augustine-Shelby Farm Service Agency will conduct public meetings to discuss the County Committee election / nomination process and other FSA assistance programs as well as FSA farm loan programs. Agency representatives will be available to answer any questions regarding all programs available to producers.

The products could contain milk, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label.

June 5, 2017 Temple – Acting Deputy Undersecretary for Rural Development Roger Glendenning announced that USDA is providing more than a quarter billion dollars in loans for rural electric infrastructure improvements.
“These loans will help improve the delivery of reliable electricity, and will help ensure that rural areas nationwide can prosper economically and benefit from today’s technologies to meet tomorrow’s needs,” Glendenning said.

April 20, 2017 Washington — With spring renewal upon us, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service invites home cooks to gain kitchen confidence by refreshing their perspectives on food safety. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that each year approximately 48 million Americans suffer from foodborne illnesses, leading to 128,000 hospitalizations and 3,000 deaths. Many of these illnesses can be prevented by changing behaviors in the kitchen and gaining a little kitchen confidence.
